I have an ao smith water well pump model #c48l2n134c2. I lost power to the pump for about 2 hours and now my pump is running but my psi gauge reads 9 and I have no water. Has it lost it's prime?

My psi gauge on my pump reads 0 after losing power for about 2 hours, do I need to prime it and if so how do I do that?

This is a surface pump is that correct? On top of the impeller cage they should be a plug or a pressure gauge that you can remove and fill the impeller cage with water. Replace the plug or the gauge and turn the pump back on. Good luck Tom


pump reads 0 after losing power for about 2 hoursIt sounds like a faulty foot/check valve to me. Try priming the pump again and if it loses water check and replace the valve. Good luck, Tom
