I've got a double coil water-cylinder fed by a solid fuel stove and an oil-fired boiler.
Getting solar-panels connected so having to disconnect the oil-fired boiler. The oil-fired boiler will now heat radiators only but not the water-cylinder.
Is this dangerous in terms of venting pressure? My understanding is that gravity valves to overcome pressure issues are in or linked to the water-cylinder.

Thanks very much
John

Hi John

You are asking about a serious SAFETY issue here and we can't see your system in person so there is no way to answer with absolute certainty. However, with that being said, I don't see why disconnecting the oil-fired boiler can pose a danger as long as the proper pressure relief valve and any other applicable safeties are in place on each system...;)

That's reassuring Mark. I'm happy with that answer. I'll ensure the plumber applies the necessary relief valves.

Thanks very much
