I'm trying to clean the hair out of the drain and I used one of those plastic zipper tools and I was trying to pull it out and it broke inside the drain!! So, I need help removing the cover. I tried to take pliers and hold under the rubber skirt while I twisted the top counter clockwise. However, it's round under there and I can't get it unscrewed. Does anyone have any advice? Or do I need to call a plumber?

Here is a photo of the drain. Sorry it looks nasty! I've been reading all the posts on this but I just cannot get it unscrewed!

It just unscrewed. It was just very tight and I didn't have the right tool to hold the bottom portion tight enough.

Nice of you to pop in and update the thread, Sadiekins. I tried to answer your question, but each time I went to write my response to you it ended up with, "SORRY, you just have to twist harder",...actually bummed me out a bit!

Here, we actually assume a lot of responsibility when we give some of the advice we give and I just kept seeing the toe touch stopper breaking off in your hand and you being pissed off at me...LOL!! I swear, that's what I thought and it wasn't going to stop me from answering, but I have to admit it sure slowed me down a bit!!

Anyway, thanks again...nice end result!
