I am 20 years old, and just now started charting my periods. I have PCOS, and have had irregular periods since they started. I just downloaded an app on my phone that tracks periods, and it says I'm 84 days late. Have I just not had enough entries, or should I be worried? How late is too late for a missed period, especially when you know you can't be pregnant?

Standard is about 28 days. 84 days would be nearly three months since your last period and it should be only one. Are you being treated for the pcos?

I have not been treated, there isn't much treatment available. My period has always been irregular, but I don't think it's ever been this much time. I had two in one month and now I've had none.

Hi elizzieG,

The app may end up causing you more frustration than help since it is likely formated for periods that follow a more regular pattern. Irregular cycles is one of the prime symptoms of PCOS. Your period could show up every other month or just a few times a year. If you haven't already found Soul Cysters online, check it out... you will find a great deal of helpful information.

My understanding is that the pill can help with pcos. Is that not true? If you are overweight, weight loss can also be a solution for you.
