Have to replace the power mirror switch on 98 ford explorer. How do I get it out of the door panel? Hidden prongs?
TIA (thanks in advance)

Proceed cautiously!
Yes, there are various hidden fasteners in automobile interiors.
If you work slowly, you can see how a switch plate is attached. Then by gently prying and working the switch plate, see which way it will release. It will help if you get a small but bright flashlight.

I agree with "CaptainRich" that doing step by step, you can replace the power mirror switch easily. As the first step is to open the vehicle's door and then remove the power mirror switch from the interior door panel and disconnect the wiring harness (1) attached to the underside of the switch. After that the next step is to connect the wiring harness to the new power window switch and snap the power window switch into place.

In this video, the narrator announced the year for the explorer he is working on but I can't say for sure if he says 98, even after listening to it several times.
So, may be helpful (or not).
