How do you find the volume key for toshiba laptop

Look for a speaker Icon. Try control panel.

Hi beth, I have a new Toshiba Satellite and it has a terrible sound system, I've tried everything to turn it up and ended up using ear buds for most of my listening. If you Google your problem you'll get lots of ideas to try.

In Windows 7 there is a speaker icon on the right in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. One click on it will open a volume slide control. There is also a "Hardware and Sound" file in the Control Panel. I am trying to avoid Windows 8 if I can, hoping the next Windows version will be designed more for PCs again than for phones and tablets.

Hi Catsmine, mine has 8 and I was a week just to navigate. Not to bad after you figure it out.
