I was taking the birth control pills regularly all month but I forgot the last one of the pack and took it about 20 hours later. Both nights later I had sex without a condom. The second morning I freaked out and took a morning-after pill. Now I was supposed to have my period but instead I have just a bit of bleeding that looks and feels nothing like a period. Does it mean I am pregnant? Or something else? I might not have eaten enough recently but I thought it wasn't supposed to influence the period when I'm on the pill... Please help!

You forgot the last pill of the pack before the sugarpill week? I don't think you had anything to worry about. Doubly so that you took the morning after pill.

The morning after pill will affect your period because it is a high dose harsh contraceptive. Please read the side effects of the morning after pill. It could delay your period for a while your body gets back on track.

The short of it is that you're probably not pregnant, but you'll have to wait until your next period to come and it will come in an indeterminate amount of time. If you're more concerned then abstain from unprotected sex and wait for two weeks from when you should have had your period and take a home pregnancy test.
