I moved house in December I notified my insurance. On the 5th they then kept asking questions till the 11th when they finally confirmed changes. Dec was my last month of insurance so when it didn't go out the bank I thought nothing of it as it's a ten month payment for twelve month cover so last and first month free. So I gets to Feb this year and still nothing from insurance but hung on to await paperwork. Got pulled by police, offered fixed penalty and six points, took car off me and sent me on way. Sorted insurance to get car out of police impound (not easy) divulged points and everything. Just got the conditional offer through from police about points and fine and they have wrong registration. Mine being oe03 and they put de03 which is a citron xsara not a Honda like mine. I have checked this against the slip the police gave me and with his writing you can see how he mixed up D and O as it's simil Would I have cause to get away with this or not? Please don't judge I know I'm stupid. Thus happened in the UK. I have since been in touch with the insurance who say they cancelled the policy on the 7th and when I changed details they say I only changed them on the roadside assistance side. I received no letters at all.

If the description of the vehicle was incorrect but the license tag was correct I doubt if you be able to get off.
