Finding a mean (or average) is simply adding the numbers and then dividing that by the amount of numbers...

\frac{\frac{5}{6}+\frac{4}{3}+\frac{7}{12}}{3}

If you have trouble adding fractions see here. (http://www.mathsisfun.com/fractions_addition.html)

Mean is nothing but ration of sum of the terms and number of the terms.

In this case we have fractions first take the lcm of the denominators i.e 12, so multiply and divide the first fraction with 2, the fraction becomes 10/12,next one becomes 16/12 and the third one is 1/12.. now it would be easy to calculate the mean...

All the best
