My husband has been throwing up since 2:45 this morning. 8 times now and also had diarrhea one time. He won't tell me if there is blood. I am really concerned, he is a very small man (152 lbs) and has some other health issues. Diverticulitis, serious acid reflux and Arthritis to name a few. He is white as a ghost but refuses to go to the emergency room. He won't tell me if there is blood. He thinks he just needs rest.
What should I do? He won't drink anything or eat anything. Should I just call the ambulance? He is 57 years old

If he were my husband, I would call an ambulance.

So would I as this sounds serious, and could be life threatening.

He has the RIGHT to refuse to get in an ambulance, so don't waste the call or the $$$.

I agree with Joy.
He can refuse the ambulance but it will have cost you the money to get them there.
Tell him he needs to go...tell him to do it for you because you are concerned. Take him there yourself.

He will become extremely dehydrated leading to death. Explain that still to him.

I agree about dehydration. First symptoms are weakness, dizziness and fainting. Make some clear broth and TRY to explain that he MUST hydrate. If he won't drink the broth, give him whatever he will drink.
