Back in my school, I used to be a good student, a favorite of the teachers and also my parents. But I got influenced by him and he is a kind of person who is into social networking, flirting, talking etc. I started hanging out with him and actually got deviated. After the exams I see my grades dropping and his flying. That's it, I was done with him I stopped talking to him and I now seriously need to get back to be the old me who was only interested in studying, can somebody help me, I want to score good grades for my exam which is closing and I have very little time left and lots to study I don't want to see the depressed faces of my parents.

Help you? Surely you know that there is only one answer: get off the computer, phone, texting, emails, and hanging out, and STUDY every waking moment. What else could you possibly expect to hear anyone say?

I completely agree with joypulv. You are in school to learn... not socialize. You have the rest of your life to do that after you graduate. In most cases the people you call friends now will not be around then anyway as they will have their own lives to focus on.

You simply go back to doing what got you good grades and leave the distraction behind.

Its easy to step off the path, there are always many temptations and distractions, but getting back on is the important part.

Good advice from everyone, but I'm a bit confused - in this post you are referencing a 'him' - so I'm assuming you're a girl, but in the post Tal included, you are talking about a 'she', a princess to be exact. What's the deal?

The confusion seems to be on my part as I took it as two different people/situations. Two parts of a bigger picture of his social life, I think?

Ahh, like the person in this post may be a friend, not a love interest? My mistake, sorry kiddo...
