I have been taking the pill for 3 years, last month I had sex. That day and the two following days I forgot to take the pills and took them each a over 15 hours late. A week and a half later when my period was due it lasted only 6 hours and was very light (sorry if tmi). That is very unusual for me. I took a test the next day and it was negative. It is now two weeks later. I have cramps everyday and am very bloated. I also have no appetite. I took another test this morning and it was negative again. Could I be pregnant? I am back at college now, should I call my doctor and try to get an appointment when I am home in two weeks? Thanks for the help.

The off period could be because of the missed pills. When you miss a pill or two it can throw off your body. Of course, missing pills also puts you at a greater risk of pregnancy.

Once you're pregnant you will not get a period. Some women do experience bleeding during pregnancy and mistake it for a period, which could possibly be happening here.

At two weeks late it would be the right time to test. Make sure to test using first morning urine. Since this last test was negative, wait another week, then test again. If that test is also negative, wait and see what happens with your next scheduled period. If you miss it then see your doctor for a blood test.

Good luck.
