My Doctor prescribes me vicadan 7/325s 4xa day but sometimes I don/t take them if she gives me a p test to see if they are in my system, how soon do I have to take them to get them in my system before an appt. for them to show.

Why are you supposed to take Vicodin four times a day (for pain?) but don't take it? It's time to tell your doctor you don't need the prescription and turn in any unused pills for your pharmacist to destroy.

Pain management is a process of adapting to your needs. If you no longer need the amount of medication you are currently being prescribed then you need to let your doctor(s) know. This way they and you can work out a plan that suits your current needs.
Asking for advice on essentially scamming the test leads to questions of what you are doing with the pills you aren't taking and why you aren't being honest with your doctor.

I agree. You said that so much better than I could have -- and I was casting about for a way to phrase it.

'Sometimes I don't take them' + worry about the test = you sell them.
I don't take mine as prescribed, and I don't sell mine, but I don't worry about test results, because I don't see the doctor every month to get more.
Sorry, but you just showed your cards. I'm being blunt.

I would say it would take about an hour or so for hydrocodone to be detectable in a urine drug test. I generally don't throw my personal opinions around the forums but I get calls from people all the time that get cut off from the drug for whatever reason and then they graduate to heroin because it is easy and cheap to get. Usually their family member wants to do an anonymous hair test to see how bad the situation gets. The less pain meds your on the better off your going to be unless you really need them.
