Hair breaking can be due to low iron in your blood, I know my sisters hair is dry and damaged because of this. Do you eat meat and a lot of vegetables? You can try natural remedies for breaking hair, ranging from avacado and egg mask to mayonnaise. You can also buy hair masques relatively cheaply, and in my experience brand has made no difference to quality, find one that suits you and use it weekly. This should improve your hair strength, also look at the shampoo you've been using, if you use something for a different hair type it could be the problem, find one for brittle hair and that should also help and make sure you condition!

Thanks for your answer! I actually started taking iron supplements a few days after noticing the breakage which was a few weeks ago, it did have a period where it stopped for a few days though, not sure why it did. My hair is actually not dry at all, and gets oily pretty easily, probably from me touching it so much, it doesn't look damaged at all, I have no split ends. I have meat for dinner almost every night, my family only eats deer meat though when we have meat, I hardly eat vegtables but I take a multivitamin which I thought would make up for my lack of vegtables. I try washing my hair as little as possible but I was going to get mane and tale horse shampoo next time I go to the store because I've herd good things about it, I also bought a clarifying shampoo and a clarifying conditioner a few days ago and used it thinking it would help maybe a little, it removed a lot of residue I had but breakage still continued, also anytime I shampoo my hair I only condition the bottom part of my hair so I don't get conditioner residue left on my scalp.

Also, I have a mouistrising shampoo in my bathroom, do you think I should use that or buy an anti breakage shampoo?
