MRSA infection in groin area. About size of pea. Flesh has been eaten inside of it. Would I feel different if the infection gets real bad?

Have you been diagnosed with MRSA, or are you diagnosing yourself?

I had it many years ago and it is the same. Hole size of large pea. Flesh eaten away about three mm into the flesh. Small amount of bruising around area.
You will have to see a doctor about this. If it becomes septic you could lose a limb or even die.

How can you tell if it becomes septic?
By the time it is septic its usually too late. If you suspect MRSA you need medical attention at once. Once it becomes septic, and you become symptomatic, treatment must be started within the hour.
Symptoms are:
Fever > 101.3 F or below 95 F
Heart rate faster than 90 beats per minute
Fast respiratory rate
Edema (swelling)
Probable or confirmed infection
Altered mental state (disorientated/coma)
Severe Sepsis
Severe sepsis has occurred if one of the following categories is exhibited and indicates organ dysfunction:
Difficulty in breathing
Abnormal heart function
Rapid change in mental status
Mottled skin
Decrease in platelet count
Rapid decrease in urine output

If it is the same or worse tomorrow I will. I have no transportation or ride tonight. Certainly not going to call 911. I will just watch myself tonight. I appreciate the concern but I am sure you are in a much better financial situation and can go to Dr whenever you feel the need but if a bone of mine breaks and it is still straight leave it be.
I'm glad you will go tomorrow. That's better than not going at all as this can be a deadly condition.
I don't know why you think I am in a better financial position than you. These are tough times for everyone.

Didn't mean any offense things like this are frustrating. Obamacare isn't going to help. Going to take money that I use for vet to pay that bs. Thank you for the info.
I totally agree with you! It's not going to help, just make matters worse.
I am a two time MRSA survivor. I feel your pain. Literally!

Does sepsis have a rotten stink to it? This is new and has me worried.
No, sepsis is a blood infection. That is when the infection is in your bloodstream and spreading the infection to the rest of your vital organs.

Okay
The smell would be due to necrosis (tissue dying), or if there is drainage, it would be the infectious process in the drainage.
