I had too many things plugged into an extension cord, then I plugged in a small electric heater to it and it popped and blew. Now outlets and everything on one side of my room doesn't work, including my ceiling fan/light. I switched off the main breaker in the house and turned it back on and still have no power in one side of my bedroom. Can't afford an electrician, don't know any handymen? HELP!

I switched off the main breaker
The main breaker is certainly not the breaker that tripped. If it were you wouldn't have any power any where.
Reset the breaker for the circuit that goes to the bedroom. Not all breakers move all the way to the other side when tripped. Some only move a little bit. To tell if a breaker has tripped, push on it toward the on position. If it feels spongy it has tripped. Turn off and then back on. If you can't find the correct breaker, turn them all off and then back on, one at a time. You may have to reset a bunch of clocks but you won't hurt any thing.

Thank you Sir, Im not a complete idiot, haha, just don't know anything about electrical issues. I will try that, and yes I will have to do all of them since they aren't labeled.
OK that worked!! Thanks so much!! I will file it in my experience now thanks again! :)
