speaking in graphing of quadratics and so forth is there an answer to the problem y=( a constant term); is there any way that there are imaginary answers or maybe more of a scientific way of getting an answer

As I understand your question - given the equation y=C, where C is a non-zero constant, does y ever equal zero? The answer should be self-evident: by definition y always equals C and so it never equals 0.
