We got a three month old formosan mountain dog and terrier mix last Friday -- his name is Bandit. Our current dog is an 8 year old American Eskimo golden retriever mix -- name is Milo.
When we brought Bandit home, we noticed how he loved to bite Milo's mouth to play. Milo does not seem to want anything to do with Bandit because of this. Bandit also charges at Milo when he eats or drinks, which makes Milo back off. He steals food and treats from Milo's mouth too. Milo is 40 pounds while Bandit is 21. Bandit also jumps on Milo but milo starts to growl because he thinks it's an act of dominance. The little one is also pulling out Milo's fur to play with... Bandit has begun mounting this blanket.
I don't know what to do because Bandit was an only child and his mom liked to bite his mouth to play. Milo does not bite but he will give multiple warnings 1) growl 2) baring teeth 3) place teeth on you but won't bite down. Milo doesn't seem to be teaching any boundaries.
Please help and give your opinions! :(
