'm not sure how I should begin this so I'll start from the beginning.. my husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost a year now with no luck. Things have been hectic at my job and had some things going on in my personal life I lost track of my ovulation schedule as well as if my period was regular. Normal when I get my period it's for 5 days minimum is somewhat heavy and is accompanied by severe cramps for the first 2-3 days. This month my period only lasted 2 1/2-3 days with no cramping and was lighter than normal. I waited 2 days after it stopped to take a hpt but it was negative. I took it first thing in the morning when I woke up but throughout the night I was drinking lots of water. I felt sort of dehydrated. Could I be too early I my pregnant that the hcg levels are low and the water diluted my urine? I've been very tired lately.. my stomach has been upset/ nausea a little. And my breasts feel heavy. Maybe it's all in my head because I want it so bad. Should I wait a few days and test again?
I guess I should also mention the sometimes dizziness.. heavy feeling breasts... Hot flashes... and certain food smells making me.feel ill. Could I just not have enough hcg in my urine for it to come positive?

First thing, you tested two early, you should wait two weeks after the beginning of your missed period. Second thing, and I hate saying this, I believe you had your period, as short and unimpressive as it was. I think the reason why it was an abnormal period was because of the work/personal stress you're enduring right now. Stress can have a huge effect on your cycle and especially if you have the added pressure of trying to get pregnant.

I hope the best for you but I have a feeling it might be a disappointing month.
