Hi Doctor,

I was on fertomid 100mg, menopur 75, inofolic acid for +-6 months, I was diagnosed with PCOS, my gyne then advised me to do the ovarian drilling op, I did the operation 2 months ago and a month after the operation he then put me on menopur and inofolic acid again I ovulated that month and my follicle was 24mm on the 8th day of menopur, but I did not get pragnant.

He then said that we must just carry on with menopur so this month I am on menopur 75 and inofolic acid, I went for the scan on day 12 and my follicle was only 12mm.

My menstrual cycle comes and goes as its pleased if I don't use duphaston my menstrual cycle is not as it should and some months I even skipped.

He said that my endometrium was 12mm and everything is lloking good and its only the follicles that we must stimulate so they can grow.

I want to know dotor that why is it that I ovulated the first month and not the second month, and is menopur the correct medication for me to use together with inofolic acid, as I have been reading that most of the girls use menopur together with other medication and not just menopur and inofolic acid?

Honestly this is a question for your doctor not for us. There isn't a MD about us and the best you will get is the extremely talented J_9 who is a OB/GYN nurse.

The reproductive system is really complex and you're fiddling with it. So with the drugs and your own hormones it is REALLY hard to say why you ovulate one month and not the other. Maybe the hormones weren't in the proper quantities at the moment.

As for medication, only your doctor will know. It seems to work most the time, trust in his choices.

Blushing here, but all things aside, this is a global website. I am based in the US and am not at all familiar with the meds that you have been prescribed.

I want to know dotor that why is it that I ovulated... I'm sorry, but I think you may have misunderstood, there are no doctors who are members of this site.
