I am type 2 diabetic and had a ct scan on Wednesday which I had to be prepped for Iodine allergy and my sugar went up to 519 after I went home so I went back to emergency and they kept me... did a chest X-ray to find I had the beginning of pneumonia. They gave me IV antibiotics and insulin and sent me home the next day. I am now taking Bactim and my oral diabetes medicine and pneumonia feels like it is getting worse not better and my sugar is no lower than 157 and as high as 210 after fasting last night. I don't want to go back to the hospital but read how bad pneumonia is for diabetics what would you suggest? Thank you ahead of time.

I would suggest you contact your doctor in the morning. If it gets worse tonight, go back to the ER.
