Hi All,

Been incessantly reading the "will I pass" messages for a couple of days now. I have one of my own!

I have been getting weekly EtG tests for about 6 weeks and have passed thus far, but all were 72+ hours from drinking.

This past weekend I had 5 12oz beers in a 6 hour span (5p-11p) on Friday, and 4 12oz beers in a 5 hour span on Saturday (6p-11p). Unfortunately, my random drug screen was on Monday @ 7p and 44 hours hours from finishing my last drink. I did run 2 miles on Sunday.

I am a 37y/o male, 5'8", 170lbs. Relatively decent shape, exercise 2-3x a week. Take milk thistle daily, extra multivitamins, apple cider vinegar, and high fiber diet.

Unfortunately, I am not sure of the cutoff of the test. The labs documentation says they cutoff at 100 ng/mL, but I have seen other 3rd party documentation that states they offer 250 ng/mL and 500 ng/mL cutoffs as well. I will assume 100.

If anyone would like to venture to guess whether I will pass, feel free.

Please come out of retirement for this Dr. Bill. I need you on this one!

He's not coming out of retirement.. he doesn't even read these threads...he's too busy doing his thing.

I have to ask... you get regular tests, you know they are coming... so why did you go and do it anyway?

Or are you really just trying to continue drinking right up to the last second? Instead of dealing with the 900 lb gorilla in the room. Which is going to get and and cause problems eventually....if its not a failed test....its liver problems down the road. Assuming nothing happens between the two resulting in a lengthy jail term?

Yeah... not really what I'm looking for right now. Next! Don't worry about me smoothy, I will take care of my own health.

Trust me... it gets you in the end... even many years after you stop.

Had three guys I worked with die as a result of drinking... none of them in accidents... 2 of them from complications years after they stopped... one of those from a minor unrelated surgery that most people could easily recover from and many older people have that he never really recovered from 6 months AFTER that surgery. He stopped drinking totally 20 years earlier.

To answer your question, Chances are you will fail. Usually 60-80 hours is the cut off.

Size, exercise, and the like have very little to do with this. It is testing the metabolite in your urine. So it will all get there eventually.

Good luck and I hope it was worth it.
