Do you mean is it good for an 11 year old to watch my little pony? At 11 they should really be watching more mature programmes because my little pony is aimed at a very young audience. Watching programmes aimed at their own age group will increase their learning, but if you're not bothered by this, then by all means watch it

I will say that adults are into My little Pony as well... it has no age group. Adults who follow it are called Brony's. You can Google it and will come up lots of links for it:
Brony Con is what the convention is called.

Amazon says 12 and up, so I think it would be a lovely gift for her.

Thank you, that helps me, but what if she hates it after a while?

Then you put it away on a shelf with other books she has outgrown. I outgrew my books from when I was 11 and 12 (found new interests), but had picked them up now and then to reread AND had brought them into my marriage so I could share them with my own children.
And there's a lot to read about in this particular My Pony book. She will be the local expert after reading it.
