Hi,
I have a hot water heat system with an oil burner. I recently changed out the control board and low water cut-off due to an electrical issue. I replaced them with the same models of both as before. Everything seems to work except now my boiler turns on (for 5-10 minutes) even when the thermostat is turned to "Off". I have read the manual and gone online and found that the system has a Lo Temp setting which is set on mine for 130° and a Hi setting of 180°. My system does not operate my hot water heater as that is electric. I don't remember the boiler doing this before I had to replace the parts. My question is How can I get this to stop since it wastes fuel oil? I was thinking of trying to lower the Lo Limit 60° but I didn't know if that could do any damage to my boiler.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
