My husband just returned from deployment. We were eager to start a family; however, we didn't want to ruin it by stressing a meticulously planning. We just wanted to do our thing and let it happen naturally. Since we live in separate states at the moment there are only a few chances for us. My period started on the 22bd of October. It was late this month. It should have been on the 14th. Anyway. We had sex the whole time I was on my period which lasted about three days. Then we also had sex for four days after my period. I have no idea when I ovulated this month. It is usually on the 24 or 25 however my period was late this month so I'm not sure if my ovulation date changed or not. Just wondering what my odds are of getting pregnant. Thanks!

No way to calculate them. You just have to wait until about 2 weeks after your next period is due to start testing.

My husband and I had unprotected sex two weeks ago but it was during and after my period. I just noticed today that my breasts are slightly sore, I get headaches like clock work, I can barely hold my eyes open at work, and increase in vaginal discharge that does not itch or burn. And a very low soft cervix. I'm just wondering if these could be pregnancy symptoms because I believe it is too early to try an hpt.

Could just as easily be PMS.
WAIT until you have missed you next cycle before using an HPT.

It would be too early for pregnancy symptoms like these. Normally the first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. The symptoms you're describing could be any number of things.

Wait for your next period. If you miss it wait 2 weeks, then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative wait for your next period. If you miss it, test again, or get a blood test.

Good luck. :)

It is now 6 days before my missed period I took a first response hpt and got a big fat negative :( We had sex during November 8-11th which was during my expected fertile period but I am unsure if I ovulated since I was not tracking it. I thought by now if I was pregnant it would show up on a hpt. Maybe not. Symptoms are getting stronger however it could be early pms... Sore boobs, headaches, fatigue, trouble sleeping, you name it... I'm getting discouraged. :( Could I be testing too early? Or am I just not pregnant...

Your pregnancy hormones haven't caught up with you yet. Wait two more weeks and test the first urine of the day. Don't get discouraged?

It is now 6 days before my missed period

If I'm reading this right your period isn't due for another 6 days? Is that what you meant to say? If so, you tested way too early. The first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. Even testing in 2 weeks would be to soon.

You should wait until your period is at least 2 weeks late before testing. So wait the 6 days for the due date of your period. If you miss it, wait 2 weeks then test using first morning urine. If that test is negative wait for you next period. If you miss it test again or get a blood test.

Good luck.

I finally got what I think is a very faint positive. It is the day before my period, and I should have ovulated around the 10th. I have a picture but I'm not sure how to post it?! I'm after I'm just wanting to see lines... Any advice?

Wait until you miss your period. A lot of the early notice pregnancy tests aren't as accurate as you would like to believe. If you don't get your period in two weeks then take the test again. Taking it now is just giving you false hope really.

Good luck.

I was suppose to get my period the 22nd.. Nothing! I had some cramping and I thought well crap here comes my period. I noticed some light pinkish stuff when I wiped and have not seen it again nor have I had anymore cramping. Is it possible it could have been implantation bleeding? "I didn't have that which my son". However I have lower back pain like you wouldn't believe! It's really hard to get comfortable. I took a FRER this morning BFN :( But its not like me to ever miss a period. I feel like I am pregnant but I am worried but the text this morning was negative. I plan on retesting in a week and hopefully I will get a BFP. Do you think its possible?

I was having pregnancy symptoms all throughout my wife's pregnant. Doesn't mean I was pregnant, well my moobs were never sore. The symptoms tend to be psychosomatic at this point. Missing your period is a good first step but for the love of your sanity wait until dec 6th or later for a pregnancy test; assuming that you don't get a period in the mean time.

1 day late is nothing. 3 days late is also nothing. Trying when your 2 weeks. The chance for a false negative is a lot higher before that point and with that comes the emotional dashing of hope for a pregnancy.

Well today I am officially a week late. So being the POASaholic that I am, I tried another hpt, BFN :(((( So discouraging, I am starting to think maybe I'm not pregnant. I did not have this issue with my first pregnancy. I have an appointment at my obgyn on Monday for a blood test. It would make my entire year for it to be positive but I seriously doubt that it will be. :( Do you think there is any possibility it could be +? If its negative we will just keep trying, but then I will be worried that something is wrong with my body.. ugh!

Please don't use symbols, acronynms, or the like. It makes it REALLY confusing to read.

You could be positive. Most HPT have a high False Negative until about two weeks after your missed period. Keep up the hope it could happen.

You've been posting since before you even missed a period, and all the advice we've given, you've chosen to ignore.

Yes, it could be positive. It could also be negative. We can't tell you if you're pregnant, or what the chances are. Like every other woman on the face of this Earth you'll have to wait and see. If you're not willing to wait until you're 2 weeks late to test, then I'm afraid you may have to contend with a lot of negative tests that may not be accurate. You're really stressing yourself out for no reason when all you have to do is wait and test at the right time.

Good luck.
