Hi, my name is Victoria. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex all the time. The first day of my last period was July 25th which was a normal period for me. However, in August I missed my period and about 8 days after my period was due I got this brown/ bloody discharge which was NOT a period for me. It did not smell nor did it look like a period. I have been to three different clinics to get tested and all urine tests have come up negative so far. I was on the Nuva ring for about a year but I have not Laid hands in that birth control since may when I took it out. Not to mention that I am experiencing pregnancy symptoms such as back pain, using the bath room more then usual, I've been gassy one day I had diarrhea, my boobs are sore and I also have been really tired. I'm not sure what to do from here I just need answers! Please somebody help.

If the tests are showing negative... then either they are being taken too soon... or you really aren't.

None of those are "Pregnancy symptoms" they can all be explained as symptoms of other unrelated things.. Guys get most of those too as an example.

The only actual pregnancy symptom the first few months is a missed period.

All women have irregualr periods from time to time... if you haven't yet... then you are really young. I think that might have just been an irregular period.

Pregnancy tests are accurate starting two weeks after you are late. Taken earlier false negatives are common.

Those ARE answers based on the post you made based on the information you provided.. which are full of misconceptions.

What kind of answers are you expecting?

Yes, what are expecting us to say? Based on what you posted, that is the best you will hear from people who don't know you or your medical history.

See your doctor and have a blood test.

If I'm not pregnant then what could it be? I've been to the doctor but they just told me that the urine test came back negative so it's my birth control.. But how can it be my birth control when I haven't touched it in 4 1/2 months and never had a problem until now? I'm just confused.

I agree... it shouldn't be your birth control if you haven't used it in 4.5 months...

There were some that stopped your periods while on it... and other kinds that didn't. But 4.5 months.. its should be out of your system.

Did you go to a regular doctor or gynecologist?

There are many possibilities as to why you missed a period, and why you only had brown discharge for this last period. It could be an off month, it could be because of medication, stress, weight loss, weight gain, illness, cancer, STD, pregnancy, exercise, etc. etc. etc.

There's really no way anyone online can tell you what's going on, that's why you have a doctor. A doctor can run tests, we can't.

Good luck.

Hi. I was on birth control for about a year and took it out May of 2013 & and I haven't put it back in since. I usually get my period on the 26th of every month & I had in protected sex a day before ovulation. I missed my period in August & then had some brown/red discharge that wasn't enough to be a miss carriage let alone a period nor did it smell or look like a period. I also missed my period this month but all urine tests have come up negative? I had a bacterial infection but I got it treated.

No one online can know what is going on. It's quite possible that the infection has had an effect on your periods, or even that you have a recurring infection. It's possible that you are pregnant, and the tests are wrong. Go to a doctor for a blood test, and be tested for possible infection too.

I assume you are trying to get pregnant? So you want to know as soon as you can and take extra good care of your health.

Now that my period is regulated after coming off the nuvaring 6 months ago, I get my period on the second of every month. I have a 30 day cycle and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend of 1 yr on the 17th of sept. Which was the day before ovulation. He came twice inside of me but I still had a 3 day period that ended with brown blood in oct. But I hear it's normal to get a period in early pregnancy? I am a bit more sensitive, my nips are some what sore, I am gassy, and I have mild cramps in my lower abdomen. Also, I have this thick sticky white discharge with little to no odor. My question is, is it possible or what are the chances of me being pregnant?

Every chance, yes, but you will have to wait for your next cycle.

I have to wait for my next cycle to get pregnant or to find out?

You have to wait until your next cycle to find out if you are pregnant. If it does not come as expected, wait two weeks then test using first morning urine.

I do want to make one correction to your post, just for future reference. You stated that you've heard you can get a period during pregnancy. That's not true. Once you're pregnant your periods stop. Having said that, some women do experience bleeding during pregnancy, and mistake it for a period.

Hi, I still have yet to find out if I am pregnant. But if I am, I am 8 weeks. Any how, I have been having cramps in my lower abdomen for about a week now & I had sex with my boyfriend on Saturday. After sex, the cramps kind of got worse and then the next day, I had severe pain on the lower left side of my abdomen, and it continued until Tuesday night. I had no bleeding, I wasn't constipated and it did not burn while urinating. I went to the clinic and I don't have any STD's or anything. Just a slight yeast infection but not anything serious. What could that have been?

First, please stop opening new threads over the same issue. I've merged all your threads. If you have any additional follow-up post a response to this thread.

We cannot tell you whether you are pregnant or not. Only a properly performed test can tell or an exam by a physician.

I wasn't asking if I pregnant, I was clearly asking what the pain could have been

And how do you expect someone to diagnose your pains over the Internet? Your pains could have been due to anything from gas to a tumor and lots of things in between.

We can't diagnose online. If you're feeling pain, and you're worried about it, see your doctor.
