Age, PCOD, cancer, tumor, and the list goes on.

Oh great. In other words... go see a doctor right?

Yup. Sadly there's no way to tell you what's going on over the internet.

I can ask a few questions that may help narrow it down a bit, but even then it would be guess work. The questions would be, how old are you? How many periods do you get yearly? Are they irregular as in late every month, or irregular as in absent for months at a time?

This is the first time its happened. I get 12 a year as normal. A normal cycle for me is about 7 days long. This month it was different. It came and lasted for 2 weeks then stopped for about a week and then just came back today.

So this isn't an ongoing thing, it's a one time deal?

An off period can happen for many reason, many more than I mentioned for an irregular period. Stress, medication, weight loss, weight gain, illness, and more, can all throw your period off. So can pregnancy. Any chance of that?

No. I have had my tubes tied, burned, and cut. I have been under a lot of stress lately from work. Im thinking that's what it could be. Still has me a little worried though.

That in its self has me stressed. Being worried about it being irregular.

It does happen, and stress can play a huge part in it.

If it were me I'd wait and see what happens with your next period. If that one's off too, then I'd see a doctor. Of course the stress of not knowing what's going on could throw off your next period too, so maybe getting it checked out now, wouldn't be a bad thing.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
