What is the name of an old movie that starts with a small boy surviving the murder of his entire family by a despotic dictator's army (presumably somewhere in latin america) . He grows up embittered by the injustice he sees around him and eventually joins and leads a successful revolution that overthrows the dictator. Only to discover he has become just like the very man he despised. I recall the title was short like "The ??????ist". I saw it around 30+ years ago and cannot find it anywhere.
