I didn't realize I had no more NuvaRings the day I had to insert a new one. I took mine out September 29, I got my period October 2-6th. I couldn't get in to the office for more supply until October 16. I had unprotected sex October 12, freaked out and had a Plan B One Step about 12 hours after the unprotected sex. I have EPT tests as well as my new supply of NuvaRings. Up until should I wait to either insert a new ring or take a test? Should my period still be about the same as it usually is( if I even get it?)

Plan B can alter or delay your period. You can not test for pregnancy till about 2 weeks past when your period is due

Refrain from unprotected sex until the proper time to insert the ring. Treat the next insertation as a initial insertion, i.e. Assume that will take time to work. This means to use a secondary form of birth control, i.e. Condoms, when you play ring toss with your partner.

Chances are you're fine, but keep yourself protected. Pregnancy scares aren't fun are they? If your period doesn't come two or three weeks after it should have, use the EPT.

(Sorry about the ring toss comment, I had a girl friend who used the Nuva ring. Throughout the relationship I only pull it out once. Was a little awkward though.)
