When does plan b leave your system? How long can you have side affects for?

What do you mean by "how long does it stay in your system"? Once you take it, it does what it's supposed to, or it doesn't (it's not 100% effective) then in a day or more it's no longer in your system. Of course the effects don't leave your system right away.

It can affect your period, it can delay it, or it can make you have more than one period. That can last for one or two cycles.

This pill does have a pamphlet (at least where I live) that comes with it. Did you read that pamphlet to make yourself aware of the side effects of this pill?

Plan B is less and less effective, the longer you wait to take it, Its effect is when you take it, it's side effects can be 30 to 60 days but it is not effective during those times. There are some serious effects that can be done also

So if I took Plan B 4 hours after sex do you think I have a good chance it worked? Btw thank you for your advice! My husband & I just had our first daughter 7 weeks ago and we just had sex for the first time. It was unplanned and irresponsible to not use protection & I know pulling out is not affective! I'm hoping taking Plan B so soon after sex is affective

So if you took it, a few hours after sex it is the most effective, if you took it 3 days after sex it has almost no effect.

It is not 100 percent effective even at best.

There are lots of side effects, some people get some, some none.
