The velocity of a particel which moves along the s axis is given by v=2-4t+t^3/2, where t is in seconds and v is in meters per second. Evaluate the position s, velocity v and acceleration a when t=3s. The particle is at the position s0=3m when t=0

You certainly should be able to "plug and chug "to find v(3). For acceleration use the fact that:

a=\frac {dv}{dt}

and evaluate at t=3. For displacement remember that:

s= \int v dt,

and use the given boundary condition of s(0) = 3m to determine the constant of integration. Post back with your work and we'll be happy to check it for you.
