Hi I have a question about a movie I saw in a film class years ago... It was made sometime between 1939 and 1950... The early to mid 40s I believe... It's about a young man with a very annoying argumentative wife who he can't stand... He lies to her about where he goes... So she follows him one day and sees he rows a boat to land where a big house is and rich people throw parties... He meets a rich girl he falls for and she invites him in for dinner... When he's confronted by the fiancé he takes her on the rowboat and attempts to kill her and leave her but unbeknownst to him he's unsuccessful... I know this is random and a little incoherent in it's description but it was a great little movie with some semi famous people at the time and it was shown in class because of it's noirish style... Would love to rewatch it if you can help me get a title... Thank you
