View Full Version : Can toilet paper clog a toilet for days

A young guest clogged my toto toilet four days ago. We have plunged, tried to snake it, used drain cleaner for toilet plugs, and hot water. Still plugged. He denies anything in there other than "lots of toilet paper."
Is it even POSSIBLE for toilet paper to stay intact that long? I thought TP was designed to dissolve eventually.
Not sure if we need to call a plumber or take the toilet off the floor or just wait a little longer.

Any advice appreciated.

What brand of toilet paper? (some don't shred or dissolve)

Hi SS

Go to the home improvement store and purchase a CLOSET AUGER tool (standard auger is about $25.00)... something every homeowner should own! Check out the video on how to use this tool:

I'd go at it a little more vigorously than the guy in the video, pulling back and forth on the handle... not just screwing it in and out.
