If its in your system now... its too late. If you plan on using anything before then... don't.

So basically they test for everything?

The standard most abused substances... some of which can be detected for a long time... hence my answer.

Yes, I understand some stay longer than others. There are a few that stay just a few days so I am trying to figure out if those may be what they test for.

I was from Atlanta Georgia, worked for several police and court agencies there. I mean this with all honesty, Rockdale is the last place you want to be on probation. They are one of the toughest places in the entire area. They violated for things other places only gave warnings for.

If it is in your system, they willl find it. They also know most common drugs being used in area and center on them. Also look into your record as to what you were using before

They have never had a drug charge and are clean, but someone I know got a DUI of alcohol and have to go to court in a few months. I am assuming they will drug test or do a breathalyzer or something. I was just curious as to what they should expect and what kind of tests they did. Thank you Chuck! Any additional info is appreciated.

They will test for alcohol, barbiturates, opiates, amphetamines, marijuana, just to to name a few.

Why would they test for anything other than alcohol if it isn't a illegal substance drug charge?

There are many reasons really. Just because a certain person gets busted for alcohol doesn't mean they don't do other substances as well. It's more cost effective to test for all substances at once rather than several tests for individual substances.

A common misbelief is that if you have a prescription, to show that prescription so as to not get violated. This is untrue. If one is required to abstain from substances due to terms of probation, a script will not get you off as there are other medications available that do not include the prohibited substance(s).
