Hi,

I'm just after some advice please (without too much judgement!).

I had my period on 30 October, and was having regular sex with my partner throughout the month. On the 27th November, I had a one night stand, abd he did not ejaculate. I found out a week later I was pregnant, and the pregnancy test said I was 2 - 3 weeks. My due date was 5th August, which would put conception mid November. I believe my partner is my baby's dad but it's still in the back of my mind what if?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

How could we determine that for you? Even if the one fellow you say did not ejaculate, there is always pre-ejaculate that will do the trick too!

Only a DNA after the baby is born, will tell for sure.

Get a DNA test. The baby has already been born, so why the wait?

Ok, I can answer this one, if you did a home pregnancy test, one week ( 7 days) after having sex. And you tested pregnant, it could not be the man 7 days earlier.
It takes 3 days for the sperm to reach the egg, so no way to test positive that soon.

So if that was the only sex with that man, and you tested positive 7 days after sex, it has to be the other man.

Thank you - that makes me feel a lot more confident :)

As a medical professional, one that actually delivers babies for a living and has been educated in paternity and maternity, I can say that the chance is high that this is your boyfriend's baby. However, there is a slim chance that it is the child of the one night stand.

Pregnancy, conception and due dates are all just educated estimates. There is no 100% in these calculations. It would be in yours and the child's best interests to have that DNA test done.
