When we were friends he would always walk beside me- always. Within a month of dating he was walking in front of me. I had a bum hip at the time and blamed it on that. I can now walk fast with him and if I'm walking next to him when we turn corners he cuts them short to where I either fall behind or run into the corner. He claims he is not use to having someone next to him. Am I over analyzing this or is this a red flag? There are other things I've seen as a red flag that's why this one is on my mind.

This is something that you are the best judge of, because what matters is the whole picture.
You yourself say that there are other 'red flags,' but this does sound like it could be one.
Tell us another one or two?

Is there is a culture issue ? In many cultures the women is expected to walk behind the man, it is a sign of dominance. If you want him to stop, tell him to stop it, make an issue and stop him every time he is doing it,

Yes, I think the best course of action is to tell him to stop it. It's disrespectful and bothers you.

Will he allow you to hold his Hans so that he is more conscious of where you are?
