I left my apartment for two months without paying rent and when I returned the landlord had demolished my trailer home. Can he do that?

Apartments aren't trailers... and trailers aren't apartments. Which was it...

Vacating a property two months without payment... in effect means you surrendered the property to the landlord... if he owned the trailer.. then he had the right to do it... or was you leasing a lot your trailer was parked on?

You could take him to court but expect anything you owe him to be deducted from anything you owe him since he will probably counter sue.

Yes, your terminology is confusing. Was this a mobile home that may have been subdivided into apartments? Did you own the home and rent space? Did you leave a forwarding address?

It is legal for the lot owner to demolish the home IF he did it legally. This would mean, sending you a pay or quit notice, following up with an eviction order from the court and following that with an order of possession on the home. However, 2 months is kind of a short time to get that all done.

But if you didn't contact him during the 2 months, it might have been done.
