Okay I had protected sex in the middle of this month lost my virginity and I bled for almost a week I was asking around if that was normal everyone was like that didn't happen to me.. I've been having feelings that felt like my period was about to come on which it did but I haven't had a change in appetite no bloating no vomit no pregnancy symptoms I haven't been eating much lately that's due to stress I haven't been over exhausted lately either no pregnancy symptoms at all. My period started today it wasn't really heavy but I had cramps and the blood was thin I have taken a pregnancy test yet I'm going to but I'm not sure if I should take it while my period is on or not.. I'm scared.. I'm young and I know that decision was stupid I won't do it again until I'm married.. I'm stressing a lot and I'm confused please help me out

Taking a pregnancy test before you are 2 weeks late for your period is usually a waste of time... it needs that long before you are developing enough of the hormone tested for to be detectible.

When you do take one... you MUST do it first thing in the morning and you MUST do it the very first time you pee that morning... or you have to wait until the next morning.

With that said... no form of protection is 100% effective... condoms being about 80-82% IF they are fresh and used correctly. A lot less if someone kept them in their pocket or wallet... glovebox of the car... or they are very old. Or just doesn't have a clue how to really use them (its not as obvious as many might think. THey do protect you from many STD's as well. Some of which like HPV more than one person in four in people in their teens and 20's has.

If you get your actual period then odds are you aren't. But some women do bleed intermittantly during a pregnancy... but its not a true period... its not really common however.

Also... the last people you want to be asking for advice like this are friends your age... most of them don't klnow any more than you do... even if they might think they do... and incorrect and flat out wrong information is commonly tossed around like its fact.
