My dad quit tobacco recently which I didn't know the withdrawal symptoms. He is usually a nice typical dad, as in if everything is normal so is he, but last couple days he has been throwing temper tantrums over little things. Yesterday he got angry over a misunderstanding which I tried to explain but he lost it. I kept debating back my point of view on the topic and he got up and left went to his room after he saw I stood my ground. He won't talk to me and he stays at work all day until night and goes straight to sleep. I want to apologize to him, but I am too shy to do so, and is it too soon? Its been two days. How should I say I am sorry with out any corny lines?

Call him on the phone. Send him a card through the mail. Does your dad text? Send him a text.
Trying to quit smoking is hard his nerves are
No doubt short and tired
As well. I think it nice you are wanting to apologize

Just apologize without the corny lines.

What's his favorite food? Or just snack? People quitting often munch on things to try to fill the need. Can you cook something really special?
But the withdrawal is more than just putting something in his mouth; it's a real addiction. Leave a note with the food that just says 'sorry dad.'
