It's impossible to "Spot" reduce one area, I know a lot of people think so but it's just not so. When you burn fat for energy you draw it from all areas of your body. You have to train the whole body, with aerobics, weight/resistance training, jogging, running, biking, or ellipiticals exercise, or stairclimbing. But exercise is just part of it, you need to work out 4-5 times a week and try for 30-60 minutes worth, Along with this you have to change your eating habits. You need low calorie, low sodium, low sugar, natural foods, like fruits and veggies, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils. Lean meats, like skinless chicken, turkey breast, loin type meats, and fish. Dairy products are also important for burning body fat, like 1-2%, or skim milk, lowfat, skim or part skim cheese and low fat, non fat yogurt, at least 2-3 servings per day. Calcium really helps. Try and cut out presweetened drinks like soda and drinks lots of water, before meals and throughout the day. Cut out fast foods, fried foods, cut down, as much as possible on chips, sugar cakes, cookies and go for alternative snacks. And watch your portion sizes, smaller portions, read the nutritional labels on the foods you eat and stick to what they say is 1 serving. You can do a lot to help yourself, but it takes time and work to change some of your habits, but your so young, you can do it!! :)

Hi

Many have the same problem.

Please follow the below suggestions:

Remember only 3 words "EAT GOOD and WORKOUT"

What is EAT GOOD:

1) Low Fat food: That is eat less oily food, no sweets, No fried Stuff and No Junk Food(Pizza, Burger). Eat small meals 6 times a day instead of 3 bigger meals.

2) WORKOUT: The only way to reduce Fat is through Cardio Exercise only, Cardio Excercies are Walking and Running only. So doing a Combination of both Walking and Running will help a lot. That do doing at morning times will help to burn more fat. Walking and running also increases Metamolism which help in burning the fat even after you stop doing excersis.

3) for How long to Continue: You should have dedication and self control to do all this, If u can not stop eating Fat food, there is no way to reduce weight. If you can't workout you will keep on increase the weight. You should continue this until you find the expected results on the weight machine..

All the best...

Note: Running and Walking helps you to loose weight equally from all parts of the body.

Also remember that you are 14, and if you are not already, you will soon go through puberty. This will cause a lot of body changes too, slimming in some areas and growing in others. You can never go wrong with a eating healthy diet that includes your basic food groups. Exercising like jogging, aerobics, dancing and sports can also help to build muscle and reduce fat. At your age though I would not recommend weight lifting or body building as your body is still growing and it may cause problems with your bones.
