My dog has bad breath, but it is not like halitosis. He has no gum or teeth problems. Could it be coming from his stomach? And what can I do about it?

You can brush his teeth.
There are many dog tooth care products on the market, most pet stores and vet clinics carry them.
Most dogs don't enjoy getting their teeth cleaned, but if you start when they're young they grow accustomed to it.
It won't completely take away the bad breath, that's part of being a dog, but it will help a bit, and it will keep his teeth clean.

Dogs will commonly get reflux (Heartburn) and when they burp, you will smell a foul odor.
This can be fixed by giving your pup a pill a day, but you should really consult a veterinarian to see if this is indeed the reason for such bad breath.
Also, abscessed teeth can cause bad breath. Your dog may have clean looking teeth, but under the gumline where the roots are, he could have injured or cracked a tooth causing an infection to form.
It could be the food you are feeding him. "You are what you eat" even applies to dogs. If you are feeding a lower quality food, than their breath will stink. High quality foods are always better as a whole for you hound.
