Does slimquick really work?

I can give you some facts of studies I've read. Slimfast is full of vitamins and minerals, which is good, like calcium, folic acid, vitamin B12, B6, vitamin D, cyclovite (propietary Blend), soy isoflavones, with a lot of herbs, like cocoa bean, green tea extract... etc, but it also has a lot of caffine. 1/2 the milligrams per cap are caffine in fact, the recommended dose is basically equal to about 2 cups of coffee. Caffine is a stimulant that increases blood pressure and heart rate. If your intake of caffine is more than 200-300 milligrams, most people are advised to cut back If you take caffine your metabolic rate does go up and you burn more calories, so this means the caffine is doing all the work in this product. But you also need to know that eventually your metabolic rate will drop below normal and caffine is addicitive. Like most of this diet aides, you will lose weight at first, but without changing your habits in getting the correct foods into you and keeping to a good, healthy diet and exercise program, its not a long term fix. :)

Slimquick, also called "The Female Fat Burner" has a good website and a preface from it:

"SLIMQUICK At A Glance

SLIMQUICK is scientifically developed to overcome the physiological and hormonal barriers women face in losing fat.
SLIMQUICK is backed by science and contains six exclusive complexes, each aimed at supporting fat loss through separate mechanisms.
SLIMQUICK's powerful formula is designed to maximize fat loss when used in conjunction with the SLIMQUICK diet & exercise program.
Each bottle of SLIMQUICK includes a free copy of the sophisticated SLIMQUICK Diet & Exercise Program to ensure that you know exactly what to eat, and what exercises to do to help you lose fat as quickly as possible"

From the site: SLIMQUICK The Female Fat Burner (http://www.slimquicklabs.com/myweb.php?hls=10146)

I have a neighbor who started taking this and she swears it works but it appears she is losing weight quickly - which could be water, not true weight. Like any diet plan, it has to be combined with a healthy, sensible diet and exercise. Read the warning labels, ask your doctor, then make your decision before trying Slimquick.

These types of diets also can cause extreme constipation if you don't eat adequate fruits and vegetables. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is a combination of healthy eating, drinking plenty of fresh water before and between meals and getting proper exercise. Make sure you eat at least 3 meals a day or your body will rebel. Reduce portion size, eat healthier/smaller cuts of meat, plenty of fresh foods, eliminate junk food and reduce packaged food and condiments. What you should strive for is not necessarily to lose weight - but to be healthy.

Choose a few quality teas, green, white, Oolong or Pu-erh tea, make it part of your life style. Together with a good balanced diet and regular exercise, the extra weight will go naturally.

A good tea I recommend for deliberate weight loss is Lotus tea. Lotus leaf tea has been in the Chinese diet for a long time and there is evidence of its use being associated with functions such as the lowering blood lipid levels and treatment of obesity.
It is made of the following ingredients: Lotus leaf, Oolong tea (Wulong tea), Gynostemma leaf (Southern Ginseng), Honey suckle flower. Each has its own body slimming characteristic.

Lotus leaf mixed with other tea leaves has traditionally been used in Chinese medicine for preventing heatstroke, lowering blood lipid levels and treating obesity.
