I woke up this morning with my stomach fluttering in the upper middle area under the rib cage, it's like a constant quivering that is visible and it feels rather strange, any ideas what this might be? It feels like an alien trying to poke out of my body or something.

could be a muscle twitch. Could be an organ in distress that's not really close to any nerve endings. Could be a random nerve firing for no reason. Could be cancer (WebMD result).

Hard to say, have you seen a doctor about this?

Could even be something as simple as normal digestion.

I went to the ER and they checked my blood pressure, ran an EKG on me, did some blood tests and an ultra sound and everything came back normal, set up an appointment with my family doctor so we can investigate further.

That is good. Keep us updated. :-) If the ER sent you home then it isn't anything serious.
