2003 F 250 xl super duty 5.4
Tried 9 different fuel pumps, fuel pressure regulator and a fuel filter
Also tried changing the voltage. Still only getting 5 to 12 pressure then cuts out.
What else might be wrong?

He changed the frame filter. Where would a filter under the hood be? He said it seems to be coming from the pump not getting enough pressure. Mostly 5 lbs pressure, twice it got almost 12 lbs pressure.
All Advanced Auto sells is Airtex pumps and we tried at least 5 different ones of those.
Then we tried 2 Carter fuel pumps from Pep Boys. I don't know where around here to buy motorcraft fuel pump.

I was thinking, at first, that you had a diesel engine.
. Remove and clean the fuel pump fuse's contacts, in the under hood fuse box, with abrasive cloth.
. Remove and clean the fuel pump relay's contacts, in the under hood fuse box, with abrasive cloth. Coat the contacts with dielectric grease. Test the relay--replace, if necessary.
. Clean all fuel pump grounds.
. Install a Motorcraft fuel pump, if the problem persists, which are available at your Ford dealer or online (e.g. RockAuto.com).
. Verify that you have enough fuel in the gas tank.
. Ensure all connections are tight. Only use a flare wrench, to ensure connectors don't get distorted.
. Check the condition of the fuel supply line--no kinks or distortions.
. Ensure the fuel tank vents properly.

He said he would do that if the pump wasn't cranking at all but it cranks fine. He can't figure out how to make it get more than an average of 4 to 5 lbs pressure.

Thank you all it is finally starting to sound a little better but still cutting out like the idle is low.
So far we found a ground wire that was loose in the back near the tank.

9 fuel pumps. You wasted so much time. If you run the pump with the fuel line disconnected from the pressure regulator(Into a large can) does the fuel come out with a lot of pressure? Your fuel rail could [possibly be clogged. Just a guess. The idle is low? Do you have a service engine light on?
