Is it OK for a ten year old girl to share a bedroom with a thirteen year old unrelated boy?

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion I've moved your post to its own thread.
Laws on this are few and far between and are generally used only in public housing. To know if there is a legal issue you would have to check with your local housing or family services dept.
But In my opinion, this wouldn't be proper even if they were brother and sister. The ages are going through puberty or close to it and it is just inviting trouble to do this.
What is your interest here?

When your asking if it is OK. Then from a parental standpoint it is not OK. From a legal standpoint there is no real law against it.

Perhaps behavior-wise, but not trouble legally (other than as ScottGem mentioned).
A 13 year old boy (or girl for that matter) sharing a room with another child, whether that other child is male or female, related or non-related, might potentially result in "trouble"; but such trouble can ensue regardless of the sex of, or relationship with, the other child.

I agree, in most areas of US or Canada, there are no laws against it, there will be guide lines for children services ( if investigated) or for foster care. It is also something that can be used in child custody cases.
But it is not a good idea and should not be done
