I would like to know if a certificate of 2 shares of capital stock in Tidelands Capital Corporation is of any value. I inherited this stock recently from my father. The only other information I have is the corporation's address: P O BOX 567, Bunkie LA. A letter also has an address of 4539 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA There is also another letter with this stock giving Hibernia Bank Building New Orleans LA.
Any information you can provide would be deeply appreciated

I can't find any references to this company more recent than 1980, so my guess is it either went out of business back then or was bought out by another company. Do you happen to know how your father came into possession of the stock shares? Is there any correspondence in his financial records that can give you a clue as to when the obtained the stock certificate?
