I went to the ER and they me a prescription for prednisone but did not tell me how to take it. It is a 48 tablet 10 mg prescription and I was hoping someone could tell me how to take it.

It should have been on the prescription and on the lable.

Are they loose pills? If so how many... are they in a bubble pack... if so read the instructions on that pack.

You are correct... there is a right and wrong way to take them... initual doses being higher and the last ones tapering off.

You must by law be given clear instructions on how to take it, on a label on the bottle, or on the package, somewhere. Go back to the pharmacy if you had it filled there.
Or did they just hand you a package of the drug - or??
