How many year's can the state go back when prosecuting for welfare fraud?

With fraud and gov I don't think there is a statute of limitation. I could be wrong. How many years? Most statutes are 7 to 10

There is no statute of limitations for crime.

If it's felony fraud, probably 3 years.. If it's a misdemeanor, probably a year.

The issue, is that welfare fraud, can involved not only the money but laying on documents, income tax fraud, and other issues. Also some can involve Federal programs, making it a federal crime also
