Hi
I've recently had some strange vaginal discharge. At the beginning it had been chunky for about two days, but now its just white and sticky. The smell is not very foul, but its something that seems to be concerning me.
No irritation or whatsoever, but I am sexually active
Could this be some sort of infection?
I am expecting my period in about 8days time

What did your doctor say when you brought this to his/her attention? What tests did your doctor do?

White discharge is normal. If the discharge is a color other than white or clear, or has a bad odor, that's when you should worry. The only thing that I'd be concerned about is that it's chunky. What do you mean by chunky? Is it like cottage cheese chunky? That would usually indicate a yeast infection. Do you have any other symptoms other than the "chunky" white discharge? Is there itching, burning?

I haven't yet gone to my doctor as of yet. So no, no tests have been done so far.

Yes cottage cheese chunky, it freaked me out! Lol. But its gone now, only lasted for about two days so I'm wondering whether this should be a concern or not?
Also I haven't experienced any itching/burning

If you're not having any further symptoms, and the chunky discharge is gone, it was likely just an off month. But that's just a guess.

You said this was a concern. If it is, I would see a doctor. Me, I'd let it go, since you the chunky discharge stopped, and you have no other symptoms of infection. But realize that we can only guess, we can't diagnose.

Yes true
Its better to be safe than sorry, I'll probably just go to the doctor to get some sense of relief!
But thank you for the advice :)
