A block of ice with mass 2.00 kg slides 0.645m down an inclined plane that slopes downward at an angle of 39.2∘ below the horizontal

If the block of ice starts from rest, what is its final speed? You can ignore friction.

A 1.3kg box moves back and forth on a horizontal frictionless surface between two different springs, as shown in the accompanying figure. The box is initially pressed against the stronger spring, compressing it 4.4cm , and then is released from rest.

By how much will the box compress the weaker spring?
What is the maximum speed the box will reach?

Both of these can be addressed using energy principles. In both cases the initial potential energy of the system (due to the box's starting altitude in the first problem and the spring's compression in the second) is converted to kinetic energy. Show us your attempt to complete these problems and we'll help if you get stuck.
